The long and short about The MRT Message
I was very pissed when I heard this message on the train this morning:
“For the convenience of all passengers, please move to the center of the car.”
Walau. If I can afford a car, I will still take MRT meh?!?!
With Love,
Sibeh Sian

Actually, it should be carriage. The standard of English seems to be slipping nowadays.

maybe when the person was asked to record that sentence the script went...
"Dear Passengers, please move to the center of the car......raige."
HAHA. thus results in car and not carraige.

T0 fbtI: Ya! Especially those kind of sentances that he left there on purpose(those with a line cancelling them).

but center means between the doors or right smack in the holy center of the carriage?
mrt messages are getting very very absurd nowadays.

Heh. the mrt person said "car", so that you can bluff yourself that you are inside a car rather than a mrt.
